Hi there,

I have a problem concerning my fonts: Currently I'm using 'hintfull' as the hintstyle. But now I have found a new good-looking monospaced font (Inconsolata), that looks way better with 'hintslight'. Therefore I wanted to let the whole system using hintfull except for this one font.

Hence I tried adding the following to my ~/.fonts.conf :
Code:

   <match target="font">
        <test name="family">
            <string>Inconsolata</string>
        </test>
        <edit name="autohint" mode="assign">
            <bool>false</bool>
        </edit>
        <edit name="hintstyle" mode="assign">
            <const>hintslight</const>
        </edit>
    </match>

But: Nothing changed. I even noticed, that setting the hintstyle in this config is completely superfluous: The setting used in the DE (here: Xfce) overwrites everything. Then I even patched away this part in Xfce that handles the hinting -- with no result. It seems like everything ignores my setting concerning hintstyle. (The other settings do have an effect...).

So my question here is: Is this what I want to achieve even possible (different hintstyles)? If yes, how?

Thanks :)

/edit: Nevermind ... Wellknown (though never fixed) problem. Googling before posting helps ^^
