Hi,

I know about the sandby and offtime etc in xorg,conf. Is there any way to dim the backlight (and put it back when a key is pressed?)

what desktop environment are you using? KDE's Powerdevil does this. Gnome should have something similar

LXDE :D

there's a script that can do it, but I did not wanna have another deamon running in the background. I thought there might be some option to X to handle that??
