KDM is super sluggish on boot and some kind of voodoo....

Hey all, so.... A really odd thing is happening on my system. When I boot up and KDM starts my mouse, keyboard, hell everything is super sluggish, if I switch ttys while at kdm and execute killall X it doesn't fix my issue when KDM respawns.... but if I log and then execute killall X everything is just fine when KDM respawns. Any ideas?
