Hello

I would like to emerge a console only version of emacs for the time being. IE without installing x etc.

Is there a way to do this?

Nathan

Yes, there is a solution:

Code:
USE="-X" emerge emacs

To find out what components can be installed do this:

Code:
emerge emacs -pv
