Hola a to2 de nuevo,

He instalado varios visores de video y hasta ahora me ha resulatdo muy pero muy facil todo, pero me he dado cuenta de que cada tipo de video necesita un visor distinto y esto hace que sea tedioso el probar cada video ó peli con los distintos visores, asi mismo algunos dan error por no poder cargar los cedecs.

¿Como y donde cargo los codecs?, en el Windows de mis compañeros instalan un pack de elisoft que contiene la mayoria de todos los codecs actualizados (aunque instala espias je je je je) y asi mismo utilizan un visualizador como bsplayer para la mayoria de los videos.

Solo hay 2 trancas para lograr que migren a Linux y son el sistema administrativo que corre bajo DOS y que no rula en Dosemu ni en Wine y las pelis que no les enamora tener que estar cambiando de visor para cada video je je je je je je je ..........

Si alguien puede darme luces le agradecere cualquier comentario

Entiendo que tengas problemas de codecs con otros sistemas operativos no libres, pero ¿que problemas de codecs tienes bajo Gentoo GNU/Linux?.

Usa MPlayer (Movie Player, no confundir con el WMP) con todos los codecs y olvidate de problemas.

Prueba el mplayer, yo aún no he encontrado ningún formato nada que no reproduzca.

Tengo instalado el mplayer, pero no se que quieres decir con el

#etcat uses mplayer

Tambien he probado el kmplayer y el xmovie, que tienen un gui para los mas novatos (Mis compañeros de oficina) y no rulan todas las pelis ó videos.

Para mejor ejemplo esta la peli de bajos instintos que es un avi y todos lo visualizadores se traban y no rulan, simplemente quedan en negro y es todo.

Yo tengo instalado mplayer y funciona bien con todos los archivos de video y sonido que le tiro, talvez si nos dices que formato de archivo estas tratando de ver y cual es la salida completa del mplayer talvez te podamos ayudar.

Sí, y está en el mismo paquete, arráncalo con gmplayer en vez de mplayer.
Desde ahí podrás configurar los drivers de vídeo y sonido q debe utilizar ..

Por lo que he visto no es un problema de codecs sino un problema de recursos, como si tu sistema no tubiera suficientes recursos para ejecutar ese video ¿?. Para mi que ese video que quieres reproducir esta muy fastidiado y me estrañaria que lo reprodugeras con algun otro programa.

Un buen programa en gui es xine, ocupa un poco per creo que merece la pena :wink:

Haz intentado con otro tipo de salida de video, por ejemplo sdl???
mplayer -vo sdl <Nombre_del_archivo>
Que tipo de tarjeta de video tienes porque me parece que esta intentando usar xv y talvez no esta encontrando soporte para xv

Mi tarjeta de video es de las que vienen en el MB una sis630 tengo 512MB ram y 256 swap y te dire que he probado con el win.... y el video si se muestra bien.

Donde esta xine en el portage, no logro verlo en media-video y no me acepta un emerge xine

Intenta con mplayer -vo sdl <Nombre_del_video> o con mplayer -vo x11 <nombre_del_video>

Para el xine dale emerge -s xine y el te listara todos los paquetes que tienen ese nombre

1 Solo me queda el sistema administrativo de la empresa y los endoso a gentoo a todos los jorobadores estos je je je je :D :lol:

2 Si algien quiere puede probar y darme una mano con esto bajando los intaladores desde
