Hi, ALL,
This is what I got by running perl-cleaner -all:

Code:

 * IMPORTANT: 2 config files in '/etc' need updating.
 * See the CONFIGURATION FILES section of the emerge
 * man page to learn how to update config files.

 * Finding left over modules and header

 * The following files remain. These were either installed by hand
 * or edited. This script cannot deal with them.

/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/i686-linux/Encode/ConfigLocal.pm
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/XML/SAX/ParserDetails.ini

I updated perl to 5.12 and run per-cleaner -all.

Thank you.

Since you've upgraded to perl 5.12, you no longer have perl 5.8.8 installed. Perl 5.8.8 has actually been masked in portage. You can safely remove files that would only be used by perl 5.8.8.

Code:

rm -rf /usr/lib/perl/5.8.8
rm -rf /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8

Perl-cleaner just wasn't sure what to do with your two remaining files. They had been changed since they were installed. So perl-cleaner played it safe and didn't delete them.
