I had posted this thread earlier,
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-878747.html
I went out and bought a usb-lan adapter and tried to access the internet with it.
I have been somewhat successful as i can now access the internet but the download speeds are really slow not more than 10Kb/s with wireless i get 50-100Kb/s.
Its not possible to download all the packages at such a low speed.
I'm thinking of installing the wireless drivers for the live dvd and to continue the installation from there.
I read this http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Broadcom_43xx
But to complete this i need to restart the system, this however isn't possible as i'm running the live dvd and restarting would reset all the changes.
Is it possible to configure the wireless without a reboot on the live dvd.
Any help would be most appreciated,
Regards,
Nikhil Bhardwaj. |
