Hi all,

I have a 6in4 tunnel from tunnelbroker. It works fine when configured manually. Now I'm trying to get it to start at boot. I have this in /etc/conf.d/net:

link_he6to4="wlan0"
config_he6to4=( "ip6to4" )
RC_NEED_he6to4="net.wlan0"

and I've created the symlink /etc/init.d/net.he6to4 -> net.lo

When I try to start it, it fails because the interface over which it runs doesn't have a globally routable IPv4 address:

massive init.d # ./net.he6to4 start
* Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ]
* Starting he6to4
* Bringing up he6to4
* ip6to4
* No global IPv4 addresses found on interface wlan0 [ !! ]

I don't understand why the startup script is insisting wlan0 has a global v4 IP (because it doesn't need one) and why I'm not being asked to configure the IP for the remote end of the tunnel :?

Any got an idea?

R
