Hello,
I installed an Audugy2 Platinum Ex on my gentoo box.
Everything works except for irda remote and the volume control on the livedrive.

I searched on the web but I found only pages from 2005 or later.

I followed this howto: http://www.gentoo-wiki.info/Creative_Labs_Sound_Blaster_Audigy_2_Platinum
I put

Code:

echo -en "\xf0\x00\x20\x21\x61\x00\x00\x00\x7f\x00\xf7" > /dev/snd/midiC0D1

on /etc/conf.d/local and now the red led lamps when I press any button on the remote.
With lircd stopped I can see pressed button codes with

Code:

cat /dev/snd/midiC0D1

but when I start lircd, cat doesn't show anything and the same is for irw.

I configured remotes (LiveDrive, LiveDrive_Headphone, rm1000w) on kde 4.6.1 but, obvisiously, nothing happens...
