Here's my Sparc hardware collection thus far:

Sparc Ultra 5
360 Mhz Sparc IIi CPU
512 Megs of RAM
80 gig IDE HD
DVD+-RW
Sun PCI Chimera card

Currently running Solaris 10 as I'm trying to get the SunPCI card working

recently I picked up a:

Sun Fire v120
650 Mhz Sparc IIe CPU
No ram
CD-ROM
36 gig SCSI HD

aAd I just bought 2 gigs of ECC memory tonight for the v120. Gonna get another 2 gigs and then probably larger hard drives then slap Gentoo on it. I've gotta find another place to put it though because the fans are DAMN loud

Recently added a V210 with dual 1GHz CPU's and 2GB RAM (2*512MB per CPU).
Just need to get thermal control to work = lot less noise.

I have several, but for now just two running Linux

Hostname: daedalus.fast.ayerie.org
Machine: Sun Ultra 60
CPU: 2x UltraSPARC II 450MHz, 4MB L2 cache
RAM: 2048MB
Disks: 2x Seagate 36GB 10k RPM
Graphics: 2x Creator3d Series 3 (unused)
Network: 1x Intel EEPro/1000, 1x Realtek 8169, 2x Realtek 8139, 1x Sun HME
Optical: Toshiba DVD-ROM, SCSI
Additional hardware: NEC USB 2.0, IEEE1394 combo card
Purpose: Router/Firewall

Hostname: heracles.fast.ayerie.org
Machine: Sun Ultra 80
CPU: 4x UltraSPARC II 450MHz, 4MB L2 cache
RAM: 2048MB
Disks: 1x Fujitsu 73GB (Linux), 1x Seagate 36GB (Solaris), 1 250GB Western Digital USB
Graphics: Sun XVR-1000 (aargh, I wish Xorg supported this!), Sun Creator3d Series 3
Network: Sun HME
Optical: Plextor 20x CD-ROM
Additional hardware: NEC USB 2.0 card
Purpose: SPARC development workstation

I have 3 others, an Ultra 2, Ultra 60 and Blade 2000, but for a variety of reasons they're running Solaris (though the other U60 might run Linux instead). I used to have an Ultra 10 running Linux, but it died.

I have a rather minimal Sun Utlra 5 Workstation too.
It got 256 MB ECC RAM and a 10GB HD.

Runs Gentoo for some time now, using the bew baselayout + openrc, shorewall and a few other things.
Did not have any problems at all.

First ever SMP machine for me, and when it gets going it's very impressive!
Single CPU jobs are alright too.
Next project is getting gnat on it for Ada..

I have an ultra V with 512MB of RAM and a 20GB hd.

I am installing gentoo on it right now and at the end of the week-end, it should become my router/firewall.

Had a few additions to my Sparc collection in the last few months:

An old Ultra 10, 336 MHz, 1Gb ram (if I remember correctly), 2x20Gb hdd's
A V100, 500MHz, 2Gb RAM, 2x200Gb hdd's, of which only about 127Gb is usable
Most recent addition:
2xBlade 2500's, 2x1.26Ghz Sparc IIIi's, 8Gb RAM, 2x200Gb IDE hdd's (yes, that really works!)

Nice hardware :-)

I own two SPARCS:

SS10 w/ 9GB SCSI HDD + quad-port Eth controller running oBSD
Ultra10 w/ 4GB HDD running Kubuntu

My plan is to turn the Ultra 10 into a MythTV system using Gentoo. Testing it right now with various video cards to get TV output.
