Okay, I've emerged JRE (Java) onto the server. I have a web site with javascript in it. The browser is set to use Java.

What am I missing? The javascript is ignored.

JavaScript has nothing to do with Java, except for name. So please decide, with what do you have the problem, with Java applets or with JavaScript.

as v_andal said, Java has nothing to do with JavaScript. (Also, Java on a server has nothing to do with Java Applets in the browser.)

How did you embed the JavaScript, can you post the HTML source code to some pastebin?

Thanks for answering that part of the question, I didn't know how that worked.

What I'm trying to do is duplicate the site for the company (small one) I work at, to make modifications. I'm trying to show them what we could do for improvements since they are not into programming and databases. I copied their site off the net and onto my server but had not noticed the java folder was missing. Your comments steered me in the right direction. I'll have to find a way to get that folder.

Moved from Networking & Security to Other Things Gentoo as it doesn't really fit in N&S.
