Hello Gentoo community!

I recently moved from GDM to SLIM to get my system striped down a little bit. I've been successful on deploying a faster boot up and login process, but I'm missing the Shutdown-Restart-Switch user options on my users Gnome sessions. I've been looking into some other posts and found no solution to this problem.
I believe that it might be a Consolekit miss configuration, but have no clue what to check.
Here is what I have:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~/.xinitrc
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#!/bin/bash
export LANG="es_AR.UTF-8"
export XDG_MENU_PREFIX=gnome-
exec ck-launch-session gnome-session

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rc-update show
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

alsasound | boot
bluetooth | default
bootmisc | boot
checkfs | boot
checkroot | boot
clock | boot
consolefont | boot
consolekit | default
cupsd | default
hald | default
hostname | boot
keymaps | boot
local | default nonetwork
localmount | boot
modules | boot
net.lo | boot
netmount | default
nfs | default
nfsmount | default
noip | default
rmnologin | boot
samba | default
sshd | default
syslog-ng | default
udev-postmount | default
urandom | boot
wicd | default
xdm | default

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/etc/make.conf
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CFLAGS="-march=core2 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="$(CFLAGS)"
CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu"

USE="mmx sse sse2 sse3 \
gstreamer gnome bluetooth gtk nautilus \
-kde qt3 qt4 \
alsa pulseaudio cdrom cdda dvd dvdr cdparanoia cdr dvd \
samba java javascript cups ppds \
dbus hal fuse automount consolekit pam policykit X branding gvfs xinerama \
multilib png jpeg mp3 flac threads opengl lock session startup-notification"

MAKEOPTS="-j3"
FEATURES="parallel-fetch userfetch ccache"
CCACHE_DIR="/var/tmp/ccache"
CCACHE_SIZE="2G"

INPUT_DEVICES="evdev keyboard mouse synaptics"
VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia"
ALSA_CARDS="hda-intel"
LINGUAS="en es"

GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.c3sl.ufpr.br/"
ACCEPT_LICENSE="*"
source /var/lib/layman/make.conf

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see, Consolekit and hald are starting on boot and default run levels, as well as that all possible packages have been merged with the consolekit USE flag.

Any clues?

HAL shouldn't be installed anymore on GNOME system, see this thread instead:

Alright, I'm sorry that I did not see this thread.
We can close this for now.

Thank you very much!

By the way, is HAL being deprecated?

Moved from Desktop Environments to Duplicate Threads, please see this topic: Tips, and tricks for ConsoleKit/PolicyKit/udev, without hal.
