My old Audigy 2 ZS has broken and I need to buy a new sound card. I'd like it do have tone (bass/treble) adjustable via alsamixer (as Audigy 2 ZS had). Does anyone here have this card and can tell me if it has this feature? Maybe anyone else knows if Asus Xonar has it? _________________ GTK2/GNOME - The weakest link! |

This probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but there seems to be an equalizer plugin for alsa that might do what you want: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Equalizer_for_ALSA
No guarantees it's still current enough to compile, but I'd give it a shot because if it works it's a generic solution that should work on all your machines! |

The Asus Xonar does not have hardware mixing. An important question is, do you need hardware mixing? Because if so, that severely limits your selection. |
