Is anyone else having trouble updating gnucash from 2.4 to 2.6? I have 2.4.13 installed, and the 2.6.1 update is available. I can't update, because the compile fails with error
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.2/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lpng15

Obviously, it wants libpng15, whereas I have installed libpng16.8.0. So, I understand the problem, I just don't have any idea how to resolve it without causing myself a whole lot dependency trouble. Here's my emerge info:

For future reference, I got it fixed. I think I misunderstood what lafilefixer does. I thought it was supposed to take care of this stuff.

I looked at my old eselect news, and there was an item from the lpng14 to lpng15 upgrade. That suggested something to the effect of
# find /usr/ -name '*.la' -exec grep png15 {} +
That listed a few files, which it recommended that I remove.

And I also found this, which recommends something like
revdep-rebuild --library '/usr/lib64/' -- --keep-going
(which I had already done), followed by

emerge -1av --keep-going $(find /usr \( -name "*.la" -o -name "*.pc" -o -name "*-config" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec grep -H png15 {} \; | cut -d : -f 1 | xargs qfile -CSq | sort | uniq)

I probably didn't need to do all of that, but I did, and that seemed to get the job done. Gnucash 2.6 emerges properly now.
