I am using privoxy in combination with tor. A few days ago I noticed the privoxy does not start automatically when I start up my system.
privoxy is configured to start at default run level:
Quote:
# rc-update -s
atd | default
bootmisc | boot
checkfs | boot
checkroot | boot
clock | boot
consolefont | boot
consolekit | default
cupsd | default
dbus | default
fcron | default
hald | default
hddtemp | default
hostname | boot
keymaps | boot
local | default nonetwork
localmount | boot
modules | boot
net.lo | boot
netmount | default
privoxy | default
rmnologin | boot
syslog-ng | default
tor | default
udev-postmount | default
urandom | boot
virtualbox | default
wicd | boot
xdm | default

Starting privoxy manually calling the init- script is working. But sometimes I got this error messsage.
Quote:
# /etc/init.d/privoxy restart
* Caching service dependencies ...
* Cannot add provide 'net', as a service with the same name exists! [ ok ]
* Stopping privoxy ... [ ok ]
* Starting privoxy ... [ ok ]

But privoxy is running properly.
Quote:
# rc-status
Runlevel: default
atd [ started ]
consolekit [ started ]
cupsd [ started ]
dbus [ started ]
fcron [ started ]
hald [ started ]
hddtemp [ started ]
local [ started ]
netmount [ started ]
privoxy [ started ]
syslog-ng [ started ]
tor [ started ]
udev-postmount [ started ]
virtualbox [ started ]
xdm [ started ]

Does anyone knows what could cause this problem?
