Nonetheless, it should still be working. As a matter of fact, I copied it over to the Windows machine and managed to get it running using version 1.13.1
I think it has something to do with the migration on the Gentoo box.
My thought now is as follows: What if I totally unmerge the minecraft-server and remerge it, creating a new world. How can I copy over my old world without corrupting the server? |

Silly me. It was just a permission setting. Once I changed the owner and group to minecraft everything worked like a charm. |

Hello,
I have maybe a stupid question. I have never been into minecraft in any way, but my daughters do and they asked me to setup a minecraft server for them. I did it using an ebuild games-server/minecraft-server-1.16.4. The server seems to be up and running and its port 25565 is forwarded through my router, both TCP both UDP. The server tester https://mcsrvstat.us/ shows my server as being online (ping yes, query yes). But the android minecraft app, which my daughters use, cannot connect to it, neither from lan, nor from the Internet.
Address of my server is doma.rosomak.cz:25565.
What can be wrong? What should I check?
I would appreciate any hint.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the Android app (along with the iOS, Win10 and console versions - the so-called Bedrock Edition versions) doesn't work with Java Edition servers, which is what you've set up. I only play Java Edition myself (on Gentoo, of course!) so I've never looked into Bedrock servers before but a quick search suggests that it is possible to set up a Bedrock Edition server on Linux - see https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/server/bedrock/ for a download. |

Many thanks for your help. Now I have pulled the bedrock server to my docker (which I started to play with recently, of course on Gentoo) and it works. |
