I have a bluetooth connection to my mobile phone and want to use the phone's internet connection from my computer.
I configured gnome-ppp by reading http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Bluetooth/Mobile and get the following log:
|--> Ignoring malformed input line: ";Do NOT edit this file by hand!"
--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.61
--> Cannot get information for serial port.
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: ATZ
~[7f]}#@!}!}!} }4}%}&[R[1d]}"}&} } } } }'}"}(}"7G~~[7f]}#@!}!}!} }4}%}&[R[1d]}"}&} } } } }'}"}(}"7G~
--> Sending: ATQ0
--> Re-Sending: ATZ
~[7f]}#@!}!}!} }4}%}&[R[1d]}"}&} } } } }'}"}(}"7G~
--> Modem not responding.
My phone says, that there was a bluetooth connection established, so I think it's not an issue with bluetooth, but with the umts modem connection. It looks like my phone answers to "ATZ" with some cryptic strings instead of the expected "OK".
What is the reason for this? What can I do to fix it?
