I keep getting the following error when trying to transcode using mencoder:

mencoder: libavcodec/ratecontrol.c:171: ff_rate_control_init: Assertion `picture_number < rcc->num_entries' failed.

Have tried multiple files (files created via mplayer dump).

Anybody have any idea? I rebuilt ffmpeg and mencoder (and I aways run revdep-rebuild after my daily update).
