I'm using vsftp for a while now and it works fine. The only part I never managed to get working right, are the permissions of the uploaded files. And that is getting problematic.

Every newly created folder is geven the 0777 permission. I want every uploaded file also to have the 0777 permission. Instead, it seems to copy the permissions from the original source.

Here is what I'm using is vsftpd.conf:
Code:

anonymous_enable=no
local_enable=YES
chmod_enable=YES
local_umask=0000
file_open_mode=0777

The local_umask=0000 seems only to affect newly created folders.

Think you need
Code:
chmod_enable=NO

With
Code:
chmod_enable=YES

your ftp client f*cks with the permissions after the upload.
