I just can't get CCSM to work AT ALL. I compare the applications it has, with my laptop, and the laptop (running Ubuntu) has a lot more applications than Gentoo does.
The package name:

I don't know if this is even in relation to the CCSM problem, but I'm also missing screensavers and games that (should) come with Gnome. But I'm nearly positive that I'm ignorant of an obvious fact(s).

Maybe you have an older version of compiz than you have in ubuntu. also you may be missing some plugins e.g. x11-plugins/compiz-plugins-main x11-plugins/compiz-plugins-unsupported
