hey,

I have a server where users can login with there windows domain account.
The problem is, everybody who has a domain account is able to log in.
How should I configure samba/winbind etc.. to only allow users from a certain group to login?

tia

add this to the [global] section of your setup:

Code:
valid users = @"group name"

Where "group name" is the name of your group in Active Directory.

You need the speach marks to handle spaces in group names.

Once you've restarted samba only people in that group should be able to connect (for file shares) and login via ssh etc.

Rich.
