Hi there,
gnome-power-manager does not give anything about the battery status on an Acer 4810tz laptop.
acpid up, acer_wmi loaded, brightness and volume control are fine.
However, no battery indicator.

maybe your kernel config lags the acpi_battery module? (ACPI_BATTERY=Y or m, under Power Management .. -> ACPI .. -> Battery in menuconfig) |

No, I have it. I can read battery status in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/ properly.
Can it be sg. permission? _________________ Quis custodiet ipsos, custodes? |

It needed consolekitd to be started. Hmmm.... consolekit about which emerge drops a message of being a messy code... Nice switch from hald, which is unsupported and messy.

re-emerge sys-apps/dbus dev-libs/dbus-glib
I meet the same problem.
After I update, I just find only AC tab in gnome-power-manager preference, which lack battery tab. _________________ i5-2450M, gnome, amd64
