So, i instald gentoo and just reading forus and googel-ing helped me so far.

But now i want to recompile kernel to add support for ntfs FS.
Compiling and all goes well without problems, but if i reboot nothing changes;

cat /proc/filesystems is always the same.
I want to compile ntfs support into kernel (not as a module). I think that i get always the same kernel.
i tried
make clean
make mrproper
make
make moules_install
cp cp arch/x86_64/boot/bzImage /boot/kernel-2.6.36-gentoo-r5

but like i said nothing changes.
I also disabled earlz kprint but i still get printed informations at the boot.

So i am askig if anyone can help.

Try mounting /boot before copying kernel over?
