When I go to System -> Shut Down -> (Restart/Shut Down) my Gnome session stops, as expected, but then another one starts. I'm briefly logged in again and I can see my desktop. Then GDM gets terminated by OpenRC which causes the unnecessary Gnome session to end and the system restarts (or shuts down).
After a while I found that annoying. Now I start gdm in /etc/inittab. I borrowed the idea from Arch Linux.
Has anyone else noticed this? If not, I'll shut up. Otherwise I'll push to get this fixed. |

I have some weird behaviour from GDM, at the moment I can't confirm the issue is exactly the same, but I believe so. |
