I've never had seeds requested like that. Cool. There are two different 3.0 sources. So, I've just uploaded .configs for 3.0 and 3.0-gentoo in both x86 and x86_64 flavors. Enjoy! _________________ This space left intentionally blank, except for these ASCII symbols. |

mephist0,
At first glance, your issue looks like it is borne of the video memory. I will address this further in the other thread so to keep this one somewhat uncluttered. It's almost time for a new discussion thread, but not today. I like to wait for twenty-five pages in a thread. That's a nice odd number.
Cheers,

Have to keep you on your toes - I just used the 2.6.38 one you did for me using make oldconfig, might be an idea to update to yours hoping that I copy all the settings correctly Real test will be main PC when I dual boot it for HTPC _________________ I know 43 ways to kill with a SKITTLE, so taste my rainbow bitch. |

A new major rev of the kernel. Hmmm... sounds like *BIG* trouble to me.
What all does it "improve" on? (And what all does it break!)
Just kidding, kind of, but along with new stuff comes new problems, and since I only administer my systems because I don't have anyone else to do it for me, I don't like the pot to be stirred too much. _________________ The MyWord KJV Bible tool is at http://www.elilabs.com/~myword

I know it breaks coretemp to some degree. Any resistance to working with ndiswrapper appears to be gone. Other than that, I haven't noticed it being more or less screwy than any other kernel source.
Cheers,

Moriah,
Don't worry. Rumor has it that Linus can't count to 40 :) and that was the only reason for a major version bump. _________________ Regards,

NeddySeagoon,
Actually, that's not a bad idea. If you would please lock this thread, start and sticky a new one, we can start a new era in kernel seed discussion with a new source code version number. Forty is kind of a hard number to deal with. hehehehhehe. Or do I start the new thread? It's been a while.
Cheers,

It all came back to me. NeddySeagoon or other moderator, please lock this thread, and sticky the new one.
