I'm trying to set up gentoo to work as my web server (with php support). I've installed apache, mysql, and all of the dependancies for php (including java).
However, on typing emerge php, before it begins compiling, I recieve an error telling me that it cannot find Java in the /includes directory, so cannot continue.
Is there any way I can just get rid of the java option and make php compile without java support? I can't seem to figure this out from the portage docs available. |

How about adding "-java" to your USE flags in /etc/make.conf? Does that do the trick? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
