One thing i would love to see on this forum is a show all button for posts.
ie. on a mulitpage post - say 2 pages for example - you get 2 links so you can jump to either page automatically. How about adding another link next to those links that will show all of the posts in that thread as one page.
I've seen this on other forums ( like empeg.comms.net ) and would love to see it on the forum i spoend the ost time on
cheers |

From the user perspective, long HTML pages can take a while to load, but that's ok as long as it's optional.
From the server perspective, I think it may be a little painfull. _________________ I am Beta, don't expect correct behaviour from me.

This question was brought up before and the reason given was that, as krusty_ar said, it would put too much strain on the server. |

The big part of the strain is the fact that the database search is much more complex. Besides, in many long threads the main posters are all the same and this doesn't require additional images to be downloaded. Basically, this isn't a bandwidth issue; it's a CPU cycle / RAM issue. _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..
