Hey everyone I am running the latest version of VMWare Server on my Windows XP machine. I have Gentoo Kernel 2.6.31-r10 installed as a VM guest on VMWare server. Everything is working dandy but I cannot get Open VM Ware tools to work properly in Full screen mode.
I emerged open-vm-tools successfully and I ran
Code: | rc-update add vmware-tools default | to the default run level then rebooted the system and after running startx and getting into my Desktop environment (which is Fluxbox), I clicked on the maximize screen icon and instead of maximizing the VM so it takes over my entire screen, it just keeps it the same size and instead has a huge black border around the VM that takes over my screen. In other words, the black border is what takes over my screen and not the VM itself. Any ideas on how I should proceed with solving this issue? |

Are the open-vm-tools kernel modules running? Check the messages and output. Wich version are you using? |
