I have just installed Gentoo on my i686 intel Macbook. I used genkernel all and got a smooth boot into a base system. When I issue the "reboot" command, the verbose output goes smoothly, then spits a load of failures, ending in "/etc/init.d/reboot.sh: line 7: 20448 Segmentation fault /sbin/reboot "${opts}" Z> /dev/null" and the machine fails to shutdown without a hard reset.
I am fairly new to Getoo, having been a Sabayon user for the past months.
Any insight is appreciated. |

Have a look at the output of tail /var/log/dmesg when it does this, post if you like.
