Every linux will do, so you can use this one as well. If you are looking for an installer it doesn't exist.

Follow The Handbook on how to install Gentoo.

He means the Gentoo Handbook.

With Gentoo Linux, the installer is you. The Handbook contains a clearly-written set of manual instructions on how to perform the install. :)

However, I do recommend that you use the same kernelversion (like 2.6.31) (especially if you run into trouble).

i also have same question can i use gentoo livedvd instead of install-minimal.iso ?appearently yes but the what handbook says valid 100% is there any command that supposed to be different?like in knoppix we need to create /mnt/gentoo unlike gentoo minimal.according to gentoo docs installing gentoo from different live media is not supported.is gentoo livedvd included that unsupported medium?

Well, the Handbook only averages about 95% valid even with the minimal install CD. :P Gentoo requires an active brain involved with the install: it's not just a rote, "type this; see that," process.

To answer your question, the LiveDVD does include the /mnt/gentoo mount point but that's a very minor issue in the whole scheme of the install.

i gave that /mnt/gentoo as an example.i am aware what you say but

Important: The Gentoo developers cannot support you if something goes wrong with a non-Gentoo LiveCD, as there's no way to fix, troubleshoot, or document every quirk of every LiveCD out there. Only Gentoo LiveCDs are officially supported. If you run into problems with alternative installation media, please visit the Gentoo Forums for community help.

this statement scared me :D

Well, that statement would carry some weight if the Gentoo developers actually did any significant amount of installation support. Gentoo actually depends on the community to do the vast majority of the support. Many of us prefer some alternate LiveCD; I'm particularly partial to SystemRescueCD, myself.

Let me check something...

Boo!

You still here? Then you're not sufficiently scared. Get on with your install! :D

:D I must say I got very scared when I first started with gentoo around 2006! I am a psychologist and used to work with windows. I installed gentoo following the Handbook without really understanding what I was doing. At the time, the idea that there was an entity called gcc that was able to create other entities and itself sounded like pure theology to me. Still today doing a chroot looks like black magic. Nevertheless, after all these scary times, I am at the present the sysadmin of a gentoo server in my spare times (generatech.org). Despite one has to be patient at the beginning and try not to keep staring at these strange characters that appear when compiling a package, I can say that you can learn a lot using gentoo with the help of this incredible community!

Cheeers!
