Just trying to do an update on my mail-server it suddenly wants to update from a stable package to an unstable - any reason why amavisd-new (or is it squirrelmail) has been changed to require the unstable instead of the stable net-server 0.97?
Code: | These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N ] dev-perl/File-Copy-Recursive-0.380.0 11 kB
[ebuild U ] dev-perl/HTTP-Date-6.20.0 [6.0.0] 8 kB
[ebuild U ] dev-perl/Sub-Exporter-0.984.0 [0.982.0] 42 kB
[ebuild U ] dev-libs/libxml2-2.8.0-r2 [2.8.0_rc1] USE="ipv6 readline -debug -doc -examples -icu -lzma -python -static-libs -test" 4,805 kB

Total: 9 packages (8 upgrades, 1 new), Size of downloads: 72,923 kB
The following keyword changes are necessary to proceed:
#required by mail-filter/amavisd-new-2.7.1, required by mail-client/squirrelmail-1.4.22[filter], required by @selected, required by @world (argument)
=dev-perl/net-server-2.6.0 ~x86
Use --autounmask-write to write changes to config files (honoring CONFIG_PROTECT).

freke,
Stable package are not permitted to depend on unstable packages.
Thats a bug. Please report it to bugs.gentoo.org.
If the bug already exists, add to it if you have something new to contribute. _________________ Regards,
