|
|
I have a Gentoo box with 1 CD ROM drive, 1 IDE hard-drive and 3 SCSI hard-drives (for my raid device) I want to add a Sony CDRW device to use as a backup storage from files on the IDE drive and keep it off-site.
Question 1: since I have SCSI support in my kernel, what other steps do I need to take.
Question 2: should I just use the tar programs to select and determine which files to backup?
Question 3: Is there a reliable backup program that I could emerge and use with WEBMIN?
thanks for all your help. |

I don't know if it has any interface with webmin, but a backup prog you might take a look at is mondo-rescue. It automatically makes the cd volumes and burns them. _________________ Sometimes the appropriate response to reality is to go insane.
