|
|
I am trying to install Gentoo on my 2.13 GhZ Intel Core2Duo Macbook (I think its the late 2009 model)
The CD starts up fine but when I press enter to boot the kernals load and starts the hardware detection process then the screen goes black with a violet stripe across the middle.
Then OS X wont boot properly until I remove the battery and put it back in.
I am using the X86 live cd...What else should I try
*UPDATE*
Actually its the minimal install CD there is just a Live CD file in the cd folder |

Try the powerpc forum (they answer all macintosh-related questions). You have to scroll down to find it.
Verify that you are using the correct installation CD.
If that is not the problem, verify that you got a good CD:
- check the integrity of the download by checking the hashes
- burn it a slow speed on hardware you have successfully used before |
