I was having some gentoo problems earlier in this post.
So I decided to start completely over now that I understand some of the install steps better and also repartition to keep things in line better.
So I set up my disk with seperate partitions
/boot = 75M
swap = 256M
/ = 500M
/var = 1GB
/usr = 10GB
/home = 18GB
or close to these amounts of space.
and now I get no errors at all on boot. nic works right off and no more DEVFS errors
I'm glad to be part of the gentoo crew. off to set up xwindows
