PostPosted: Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:38 pm    Post subject: Missing battery info after moving to ~amd64 [SOLVED] Reply with quote

Two days ago I added
Code:
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64"

to my /etc/make.conf ( I used a lot of ~amd64 packages anyway). After updating whole world (a few hundreds packages) I lost my /proc/acpi/BAT* . Just in case I moved to new kernel which I got with ~amd64 ( gentoo-sources from 2.6.30-r5 to 2.6.30-r6). I don't know why dmesgt suggests that ACPI notices BAT0
Code:
$ dmesg| grep -i acpi

I would like to know the reason as well. My UPS is no longer detected by powerdevil or gnome-power-manager. I wonder why?

Coulple months passed and I can't solve this problem. Could someone please tell me where/how to look for solution ( eg. what parts of OS are responsible for providing battery info).

Yesterday's update solved the problem. I still didn't replace kernel with 2.6.33. I don't remember what I updated ( -uND world), so I can't tell what casused my problem.
