Posted: Sun Nov 15, 2009 2:05 pm Post subject: [SOLVED] No more Mouse and Keboard entry after update |
|
|
After the world update in which also xorg-server has been udated to 1.6. After reboot there is no possiblity to move the mouse or make keyboard entries. I have already re-emerged xorg-drivers, xf86-input-mouse and xf86-input-keyboard but it does not help. I can connect with ssh to the affected pc.

@jazzi: that's not quite correct, especially given that
options for this driver differ a bit. |

VoidMage - if it isn't quite correct do you know how to alter his response to make it correct; or are you saying that the solution from jazzi is not right at all?
OP -- I have a laptop that this happens to from time to time after an update. I haven't dug into it with any vigor just yet, but what I do is re-emerge
xf86-input-evdev
xf86-input-mouse
xf86-input-keyboard
This seems to work for me. |

For one, if hal is handling your input settings, what's
in xorg.conf doesn't really matter. |

Have a look at the following guides:

It is working . At the moment X-server is running with Code: | Option "AutoAddDevices" "false" | I have not managed to get X-server working with hal yet but I will try it later.
Thanks to all
