|
|
this morning's emerge -uDav left me with this cryptic
message:
Code: |
emerge: there are no ebuilds built with USE flags to satisfy "virtual/poppler[lcms]".
!!! One of the following packages is required to complete your request:
- virtual/poppler-0.10.7 (Missing IUSE: lcms)
- virtual/poppler-0.10.5 (Missing IUSE: lcms)
- virtual/poppler-0.10.4 (Missing IUSE: lcms)
- virtual/poppler-0.8.7 (Missing IUSE: lcms)
For more information, see the MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge
man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.
(dependency required by "kde-base/okular-4.3.2" [installed])
(dependency required by "world" [argument])
|
needless to say you cannot build virtual/poppler with lcms useflag set.
(that is, it makes no difference)
What does the missing IUSE signify, and is there a fix?

Not directly...
from my interpretation, some package requires virtual/poppler with lcms useflag. At the same time all poppler packages do not have lcms as useflag.
the easiest solution is to sync the tree again. (if the problem persists, check bgo) |

You might try removing the overlays from /etc/make.conf,
removing the portage timestamp,
and then resyncing. |

This generally means a broken ebuild (it does not declare which USE flags it references). It's a major QA problem, and is usually fixed quickly. That's why a re-sync usually helps. If it doesn't, make sure it's not an overlay that's causing the problem, and if all else fails, report a bug. _________________ http://phajdan-jr.blogspot.com/ |

It can also be caused by mixing stable and unstable packages, so checking your package.keywords for any packages related to the error is also a good idea. |

No actually this problem is cause by the poppler sisters.
Glad they are removed, and after that, no more problems. _________________ My blog |

You might want to clean out any old poppler cruft you have...
emerge portage-utils
emerge -Cva `qlist -CI poppler`
emerge -1va app-text/poppler |
