Hello there

I'm running Gentoo on my Mac Mini 2009 (Nvidia graphics, based around the MPC79, core2duo) happily for two weeks now.
I'm using my own 2.6.30-r6 kernel, and I've got HD controller, sound, graphics and input working great.
The ONLY problem that remais is the TURN OFF capability: if I issue a halt or reboot command, the system turns off every daemon and stops every service, unmounts every disk... but it remains at a black screen. Nothing else happens: no reboot, nothing!

I've searched all around the forum and google before posting about this little anoyance, but couldn't get any help.

Can you give me some ideas, guys?

Thanks!

Update: It seems my system is able to reboot / turn off completely some times. It totally turns off only 1 out of 15 times I try.

Answering myself again...

Just add reboot=pci to your grub.conf file, in the kernel line. That's it. It now works flawlessly.

Thanks!
