You didn't read the news item. You didn't read the GNOME upgrade guide. You haven't search this forum before posting. Many explanations |

The news item is in your portage tree. You could read it with the eselect news module.
If you haven't read it, then emerge should show you a warning :
Quote: |
$ emerge -pv gnome-light
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies ... done!
[ebuild R ] gnome-base/gnome-light-2.26.3 0 kB
Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB
* IMPORTANT: 1 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
* Use eselect news to read news items.
|
and read it :
Quote: |
$ eselect news read new
|
You should have the GNOME upgrade guide url. |

Oke
Thank you.
I did all the steps revdep-rebuild, emerged gnome-session-2.26.2 and emerged gnome-menus-2.26.2 as described in the upgrade guide.
But still no menus.
