I followed the instructions in the dektop guide reguarding setting up alsa. When I have updated all the conf files and try to modprobe with my card driver i get:
/lib/modules/2.4.10-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o unresolved symbol _mmx_memcpy
/lib/modules/2.4.10-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o insmod /lib/modules/2.4.10-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.10-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o snd-ens1371 failed
I have compiled sound in my kernel but ens1371 is a module. |

try to run depmod -a and than load the modules again,
In case that won't help, check that you've compiled everything correctly
(only sound support selected in the kernel, no other drivers), compile and install the kernel and reboot.
Re-emerge alsa-driver and see if that helps. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
