Is there any chance you'll be updating the 2.6.32-rc*zen to match the official bfs-311 patch now out for 2.6.32-rc8 or are you going to be sticking to your own port? |

I can't answer questions that have been answered by git already !!!! con's version ported a couple more things than I had, although I think he said that it may not work or even compile on all architectures, i havent heard any complaints yet _________________ IRC!: #zen-sources on irc.rizon.net

Happy holidays, guys!
I'd like to give Zen sources a try on my gaming machine, a Core2 Duo E7300 on an ASUS P5QL Pro mobo; it has an nVidia GeForce 8800GT. I also have a Dell laptop, an XPS 1640 with an ATI Radeon 3670. Anything special I should know before starting? _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...

Just that there are now seeds for Zen kernels.
Blessed be!

Great! I've seen Phoronix Test Suite benchmarks (in the previous thread IIRC) show 2.6.32 is much faster than 2.6.31; I guess that's the one to chose for speed, right? _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...

No, there will not be much speed difference between 2.6.32-zen and 2.6.31-zen (especially when using bfs, but also when using cfs), 2.6.32 and 2.6.31 linus there is a big difference so yes _________________ IRC!: #zen-sources on irc.rizon.net
