The problem seems to be:
/var/tmp/portage/net-im/kopete-facebook-0.1.3/temp/environment: line 677: cd: /var/tmp/portage/net-im/kopete-facebook-0.1.3/work/dmacvicar-kopete-facebook-ffc26f60c2d08260098eeb7bc22119a0dc35ccd3: No such file or directory.

This is the full output:
Code:
fujitsu ~ # emerge net-im/kopete-facebook

Change the MY_PN line to dmacvicar-kopete-facebook-ffc26f6 and redigest. It should work then. I've fixed this in portage, you can sync in a hour and it should be available.
