|

Hello World,
I'm trying to emerge kde-3.0.2 but for some very strange reason it fails on sane-backends-1.0.8. GCC doesn't report any errors (only a lot of warnings) so this is why I find it strange... The warnings I get look like :
umax_pp_low.c: In function `Outsw':
umax_pp_low.c:816: warning: unused parameter `port'
umax_pp_low.c:816: warning: unused parameter `source'
umax_pp_low.c:816: warning: unused parameter `size'
make[1]: *** [umax_pp_low.lo] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/sane-backends-1.0.8-r2/work/sane-backends-1.0.8/backend'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
Did someone ever encounter this problem?? I tried looking into umax_pp_low.c but since I don't have a specific error it's almost impossible to guess where the error lies (besides the file is HUGE!!)
Thanks in advance! |

Try to look quite some lines above for an error, portage does parallel builds as default, so one build process might get an fatal error, and the whole make waits untill second one finishes. |

I'm using kernel 2.5.25, and had to tweak 2 header files in /usr/include/linux (simply changed 'u8' to 'unsigned char'). |
