nvidia doesn't work in 2.4.22

Hi!

I emerged and compiled the 2.4.22 kernel.
Everything went ok except that I can't load the nvidia modules.
I can read at the startup: "Couldn't load nvidia module".

I recompiled the kernel with few changes I made, but it didn't help.
What have I missed to set as a module in the kernel configuration?

Did you remember to re-emerge nvidia drivers after compiling the kernel?

I just merged the latest ac kernel (2.4.22-rc2-ac3 I think), re-emerged nvidia-kernel (the latest masked 1.0.4496-r1) and it works fine for me.

I did a symlink to /usr/src/linux and it works now.

But, kdeinit can't load. I can't start KDM or KDE. The nvidia-logo is just flashing 4 times and then I am in the console again.

GDM works fine and Gnome too, but not KDE.
I have tried to get in KDE through GDM but then I get the message: kdeinit couldn't load.

Is it a bug or something?
My KDE version is 3.1.3.

YES! Now it works!
I just needed to re-emerge kde3.1.3.
