This happens on both grub.97-static and grub-9999. Mac book pro 2,2 (late 2006)
| Code: | grub-setup: warn: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in this setup by using blocklists. However, blocklists are UNRELIABLE and its use is discouraged.
grub-setup: error: If you really want blocklists, use --force.

I have everything else installed fine but run into this problem when trying to install grub. Partition is /sda1 is efi 2 is osx 3 is / 4 is swap, no boto partition.
I had gentoo installed for the last some months but I formatted the linux drives away for make snow leopard install and now I am putting gentoo back on but it does not work. I do not think i am doing anything different so I am at a loss as to what to do.
I am chrooting from ubuntu 9.04 as the 2008.0 livecd does not recognise ext4 |
