Wow, that was a surprise. Truth be told if it wasn't for the guy in the post above (likewhoa) donating some time to a beat up old mechanic, I'd have given up on Gentoo a few years back. It's been a fun ride and I can't wait to see the 20 year celebration..

No.1 is nice enough, but mostly due to the wallpaper. There isn't very much else to see.
No.2 is so-so, not worthy of a prize in my opinion, there were better ones submitted.
No.3 is so 1999 it's almost retro, but a winner?? It's a embarrassment.

Sorry, nothing personal if that's your screenshot. Not everyone can have a good sense of design, but I would expect better from the judges of a screenshot contest. Unless this is about showing the world that Gentoo is still a community of geeks who are challenged in that department... :roll:

hwoarang could not do it because he was in the army so jmbsvicetto filled in for him.
The ballot was five rows with 1. your top pick which would equal 5 points. You could have more than one pick one each row for ties.2. 4 points etc.

I have to agree with the judges no1 is great

@mikegpitt are you willing to share your fvwm settings, I have never used fvwm before and want to try it on an old laptop?
