Hi,
I know it's stupid question, but how the quickest can I check if my HW from eeePC 1000H (i.e. wifi) is supported by kernel. I was looking on www.kernel.org, but no success.

the quickest you can do is look for a working kernel configuration and use it.
It´not that you can just look into the kernel, you have to know what components your lappy has in advance. If you don´t, you can use tools like lspci, /proc/cpuinfo, lsusb, etc and such things to know more about your hardware.
i have a 901 and i think it shares almost the same hardware with the 1000H, so yes, most of it works with linux, including wifi.
also have a look to this > http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Asus_Eee_PC_1000HA , configuration should be similar to yours.
