Hi all,

I'm trying for a long time to have my Handspring Visor synchronizing with Evolution ...

As all my tries were unsuccessful I read all the subjects on this forum about Palm and I finally get something ...

Now, if I press on the Hot-Sync button of my cradle (an USB one) and I enter the following command I get this :

Code:
# pilot-xfer -L
No $PILOTPORT specified and no -p <port> given.
   Defaulting to '/dev/pilot'

   Listening to port: /dev/pilot

Please press the HotSync button now...
   Error accepting data on /dev/pilot

But something funny is that sometimes it works ... after 10 or 20 tries :

Code:
# pilot-xfer -L
No $PILOTPORT specified and no -p <port> given.
   Defaulting to '/dev/pilot'

   Listening to port: /dev/pilot

Please press the HotSync button now... Connected

And then, if I start kpilot, it's the same ...

Code:
01:46:06  Trying to open device...
01:46:06  Device link ready.
01:46:28  Can't accept Pilot (Connection timed out)

I think it has work only one time ...

So please, help me to find what's the f*** with this device because I'm going mad ...

Re ...

I must say that it's working quite well with Coldsync (I have to put a username in the Palm under Windows before but after it works ...) but not at all with the pilot-* tools ...

The problem is that all the KDE or GNOME software uses the pilot-* tools.

Someone any  ?
