According to Gentoo Foundation Funding and Expenditures page, the Foundation had $32K at the beginning of 2008, but no records for 2008 or 2009 seem to exist?

Why is this?

Good suggestion.

I emailed Joshua Jackson last night, but haven't heard back yet.

I'll post here when I find out something.

Thanks nightmorph for making us aware of this thread.

In general, if you want to reach the trustees with anything, just email our alias trustees@gentoo.org

So, we are working on this. There are several issues standing in our way in terms of producing accurate financial statements. Many have been resolved, like getting a new bank (harder than you can possibly imagine & done), fixing paypal (pita, but done), and reclaiming several uncashed checks from various sources (under way).

At this point almost all of the Foundation's ducks are in a row, we'll publish our data as soon as we can.

As a side note, we are also pursuing IRS 501(c)(3) status, which is no small task, but will ensure the Foundation's future & strength.

We appreciate your interest, perhaps you should consider becoming a member of the Foundation. More information on that can be found in the Foundation webspace (foundation.gentoo.org)

Thanks,
Matt

Check out ledgersmb www.ledgersmb.org
It is a good way to do multi user remote bookeeping and business administration with several different currency.
Been using it on gentoo for over a year and sql-ledger for years before that.
I can help set it up if needed PM me.

There is an old script in sql-ledger that can import pay pal stuff.
It can also be confugured to process card payments.
