On an AMD64 system with kernel 2.6.28-gentoo-r5, I get this error message emerging mozilla-firefox-bin-3.0.10:
Code:
 * checking miscfile checksums ;-) ...                                   [ ok ]
/usr/portage/eclass/nsplugins.eclass: line 34: syntax error in conditional expression

/usr/portage/eclass/nsplugins.eclass: line 34: `        if [[ -d "${ROOT}/$1" -a ! -L "${ROOT}/$1" ]]'
 *
 * ERROR: www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin-3.0.10 failed.
 * Call stack:

 *                           ebuild.sh, line 1232:  Called die
 * The specific snippet of code:
 *              qa_source "$location" || die "died sourcing $location in inherit()"
 *  The die message:
 *   died sourcing /usr/portage/eclass/nsplugins.eclass in inherit()
 *
 * If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

Any ideas on what might be wrong? Thanks.

EDIT: Solved by Nerevar (below).

It looks like the file changed after you last synced:
Code:
# head /usr/portage/eclass/nsplugins.eclass
# Copyright 1999-2009 Gentoo Foundation
# Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v2
# $Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/eclass/nsplugins.eclass,v 1.24 2009/05/01 23:03:00 nirbheek Exp $

Try resyncing and see if it fixes the problem.

Yes, thanks!
Since I originally synced and then emerged within minutes, I'm sure I never would have noted this discrepancy.
